Who We Are
Reproductive Justice Collective of New York City (RJC) is a student-run organization founded at Barnard/Columbia. Our mission is to build connections between various strands of reproductive justice — including birth justice, abortion, queer and trans health, the treatment of incarcerated pregnant people, and sex education — while rooting our organizing in a radical and intersectional framework.
RJC operates on the campuses of Barnard/Columbia and in the broader communities of Morningside Heights and NYC at large. Our advocacy on campus centers around increasing equitable access to reproductive healthcare for students. RJC is also committed to defending reproductive freedom across the boroughs through work with partner organizations and legal advocacy groups.
